Looking for our Testing Location?

The library is an official GED Test center. Testing is administered at Hartford Public Library located inside the West Middle School building.  There are two entrances to the building, one on Asylum Avenue and one on Niles Street.

If you are being dropped off or taking the bus:
Enter through the main entrance located at 927 Asylum Avenue.

If you are driving:
Enter through the West Middle School parking lot.
The school is located on
44 Niles Street. The parking lot is between the the school and an apartment building. Go all the way to the back of the parking lot. There is a white door at end of the school building’s parking lot, as seen in the photo below. Please call the security desk number (860)-695-5510 to be allowed in.

NOTE:
You cannot park in the school parking lot until after 3:30
 and there is a parking ban on Asylum Street between 3 – 6 PM. However, there is usually parking on Niles Street.
