CTHires is CT’s online job matching system, part of the nation’s largest Internet employment service. The service is free for both employers and job seekers.
After registering with CTHires, job seekers receive job opportunities via email. CTHires also offers templates for building resumes and cover letters; announcements for upcoming recruitment events and workshops; labor market analysis, and other resources.
NOTE: You must have a Social Security card number and be authorized to work in the U.S. to fully access employment services.
American Job Centers (AJCs) have experienced career specialists on staff that assist job seekers with building a resume and searching for jobs. They also work with job seekers to identify their interests, assess their skills, and advise them on in-demand jobs and training opportunities.
The AJC satellite located at Hartford Public Library Downtown, 500 Main Street, Hartford, offers General AJC Services for adults ages 18 and older on Tuesdays from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Youth Services for individuals ages 14 to 29 are available on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Re-entry Services are available on Fridays from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
